SUMMIT, NJ - Strolling carolers and complimentary horse and carriage rides will highlight the downtown shopping and dining landscape each of the next three Saturdays as the 'Carriages and Carolers' program gets underway.
On December 8, 15, 22 -- from 1 - 4 p.m. -- carolers will enhance the festive vibe while the free horse and carriage rides will board in Lyric Park, located at the corner of Bank Street and Beechwood Road.
In addition -- on each of these days -- there are no fees required for on-street parking at 90-minute spaces or in long- term parking lots and garages (Broad Street garage, Elm Street, Sampson at the Summit Middle School and Chestnut Street lots). The 90-minute time limit will still be strictly enforced for on-street parking spaces to encourage turnover.
Fees are still required in the Deforest Park & Shop lots, YMCA/Library and Bank Street lots, as well as on the first level of the Tier garage. Parking on the upper levels of the Tier Garage is free.
